Snipers wear their watches inside-out to prevent sun reflection from revealing their location

Special Forces members wear their watches with the face on the inside of their wrist not just because it’s easier to check time when holding a weapon, it also avoids sun or moon reflection giving away their hidden location to the enemy who might catch a glimpse of the glittering watch face. Another reason is that it protects the watch from breaking and making noise, which could also give away their position.
